Beach Park
Des Moines Marina is located on the blue waters of Puget Sound. It is the only public marina between Seattle and Tacoma, with spectacular views of the Olympic mountains. This marina offers a variety of services for boaters, including mooring, fishing, launching, and a restaurant. It is a full service marina with superior customer service.
The marina has a fast ferry service, which runs four trips daily. The service will start Wednesday August 10th, and will run through Sunday October 9th. The trip time is 40 minutes each way. Saltwater State Park
Saltwater State Park is a popular Washington state park that has 1,445 feet of beachfront. It’s located on Puget Sound halfway between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. The park is home to an underwater artificial reef for scuba divers and offers many activities, including wildlife viewing and camping.
For those who prefer to stay on land, the park has several hiking trails that take you through shaded forested areas and along side creeks. There are also three biking trails. For those interested in wildlife viewing, the park features tide pools.
The park has a campground, a picnic area, restrooms and barbecue grills. Camping is on a first-come, first-served basis. For campers who want to bring dogs, the park allows them to do so, but requires a leash that’s no longer than eight feet. In addition, poop bags are required.

Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market offers an exceptional view of Puget Sound. The market, located in downtown Des Moines, Washington, features local meats, cheeses, fresh produce, flowers, and crafts. The market is operated by a board of residents and funded by foundation donations and vendor application fees.
The market is open Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. It is free to attend, and there are shuttles available. The market will also be open on Wednesdays in July and August.
